Saturday April 14th, 9am-3pm Quad Cities Autism Resource Fair at Jumer’s Casino BallroomsThe Royal Ball Run and “TheRoyalGuide” are excited to offer the 1st Annual Autism Resource Fair - exclusively to schools, families, and caregivers for those on the Autism Spectrum. Many families struggle to find the necessary resources - and we’d like to create a “one-stop-shop” for individuals to see what is offered.

April 21st 9am-12noon Autism Awareness Walk at Augustana's PepsiCo Center sponsored by the ASQC https://www.eventbrite.com/e/autism-society-of-the-qc-autism-awarenesss-walk-tickets-42342267863 to register and a link to purchase t-shirts. The walk is a free event that includes an indoor walk, DJ, kids activities, information tables, & more. 

April 21st Roller Derby Autism Event 

April 23rd & 24th Charlie Appelstein speaking sessions.  Family & Educator partnership Program Mississippi Bend AEA.  Charlie is an expert in Challenging Behavior, a motivational speaker, and the author of the book “NO SUCH THING AS A BAD KID”. His primary focus is on teaching positive, strength based theories and techniques to professionals and families who guide at risk children and youth. There will be an all day session available at both our Bettendorf and Clinton AEA’s,  and evening family sessions at both sites as well. 

May 5th! Is the 6th annual Ganzo's Cinco de Mayo 5k at Ganzo's Mexican Restaurant, 3923 N Marquette Street, Davenport, & finishes with a big Fiesta afterwards. Charity partner for this year's race will benefit the The Quad City Autism Center. www.ganzos5k.com 

May 19th Strides for Clinton County Autism Walk. The purpose of bringing awareness to Autism and providing assistance to those individuals who work daily with children affected by Autism. http://www.strides4cca.com/

June 9th Steamwheeler Autism Night! More details to come!

June 23rd 5-8pm Royal Ball for All Carnival and Prince and Princess Fun Run is June 23rd at Milan's Camden Centre.  Our ROYAL ball for All Carnival promises to be our biggest and best yet with bounce houses (yes, the dragon is back on our list), carnival games, food, royal dancing, and plenty of princes and princesses making special appearances!  Other activities include:  Silent Auction and raffle and Prince & Princess Fun Run at 6:30 pm - Register onsite or visit www.royalballrun.com to get registered! Late Registration (for 5K & Heroes & Highnesses Walk) and Packet-Pick Up from 12pm - 8pm. Also the Crowning of our 2018 Royal Ball King and/or Queen!  All proceeds will support Royal Ball Run's efforts to raise autism awareness as well as funds to support local autism programs.

June 24th 8am  Royal Ball 5K / 5 Mile Race. It's the  7th Annual Royal Ball Run for Autism presented by Jumer's Casino and Hotel and Interstate Batteries.  June 24th 7:30am will be a Celebration ½ mile walk for families and friends to honor the Heroes and Highnesses, the children & adults with autism in their lives.  Team registrations are also available.  https://secure.getmeregistered.com/get_information.php?event_id=128337

YES! group Halloween party

Donation presentation by the owner of Ganzo's Mexican Restaurant
Pat Puente (right) Ganzo’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, Davenport, presented a check in the amount of $6,000 to Gary Rowe, Rock Island, president of the Autism Society of the Quad Cities.

Ganzo’s gift came from the proceeds of the Cinco de Mayo Festival and the Nacho Ordinary 5K race on May 6. Nearly 1,000 runners participated in the race and walk.

The Autism Society will use the proceeds for its mission of education, support, and advocacy in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. 

The Autism Society of the Quad Cites extends our sincere thanks to Ganzo's and the many volunteers who made this generous gift possible. 

Soundreach Musical Group

Soundreach musical group begins new session Congratulations to all of the performers who provided a wonderful afternoon of entertainment at the winter Soundreach concert. Soundreach is a performing musical group for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. The group meets on Thursdays from 7-8 p.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church, 5002 Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Cost of the program is $20 for a 13-week session.
